A 3 ingredient slaw you can make in 5 minutes or less and throw on top of tacos, bbq chicken sandwiches and more in a pinch!
I’m always looking for easy recipes. It doesn’t get much simpler than this 3 ingredient slaw. It’s so simple. You can make it in less than 3 minutes. It’s perfect for chicken and fish tacos, bbq shredded chicken sandwiches and anything else you want to put a nice simple slaw on top of. Its simplicity allows for it to pair well with many different options! Heck you could even toss some peppers, scallions and almonds in the slaw to make it a salad!
You can use avocado oil as a substitute!
I used Lawry's garlic salt. There’s just something about it! But of course you can use garlic powder and salt. 1/2 teaspoon of each.
Cabbage is such a great ingredient because it lasts for so long! It’s a hardy veggie you can use just half of it and it’ll stay fresh enough to use the other half the next week. Love getting multiple dinners out of items! It’s a money saver too!
If there’s any left overs the cabbage will also keep better in the fridge than your typical lettuce. You can toss it with those almonds, scallions and thinly sliced peppers for a nice salad.

Slice your cabbage into super thin strips. The super thin strips gives a nice texture over your tacos helping distribute its strong cabbage taste and garlic salt. Take your knife and place it on the edge as far as you can while cutting to get super thin strips. Watch your fingers. Helps when you start half way down the cabbage. Allows for more control over achieving the smaller sliced pieces.

Add garlic salt (1 teaspoon) and olive oil (1 tablespoon)

Mix all ingredients together until completely combined.
Keep the cabbage nice and cold in the fridge. It will help you achieve crisper and more precise cuts.
Pair this 3 Ingredient Slaw with these yummy Pink Trout Tacos
Add this slaw with my Chipotle Chive Aioli on a shredded chicken sandy with a toasted ciabata bread bun.
Good for 2-3 days in the fridge. Store in an airtight container.
